This interface is laughably terrible. For one, everything should be tabs: you should drag files from one tab to another completely blind. For another, I can see the scrollbars which is just bad. Further, there should be a giant ad at the header/footer which shills bitcoin. Finally, the password field shouldn't be obscured but synced to our online Safe™ for easy retrieval at just 12.99 a month.

We've sure come a long way since those primitive days...

Dear : Please stop saving images as webp when I drag them out of the browser. Forever stop that. Even if they are webp originally, just give me a setting to auto-convert them to JPEG. When I by tetris11 in c/firefox@lemmy.ml

I met my first girlfriend that way, we'd go hunting for crabs in the wilderness by day and then sell our catch at the marketplace. It was hard being online at the same time but we made it work. We built fires and prayed in the evenings under the starry sky, and fell asleep in each others arms, until that fateful night when I came back from my fishing trip to find all her belongings in a single pile, surrounded by blood. I feared the worst, but kept hopeful and waited. My patience waning, I finally ventured out of the wilderness and towards the reset point, where I found her... outside of a cave garbed in dungeoneer equipment mumbling nonsensical words about grinding. :'-(

It very well might be a real exploit. Lemmy was briefly taken down by an XS attack using the emoji library... so who knows, maybe a 3000% smiley face is all that is needed

They have spurred on the solar/wind movement successfully though, albeit whilst using coal as a crutch. Even so, without the greens, alternative energy might never have been a discussion in a country like Germany which is positively obsessed with gas and cars

That's a pretty weak take. Do you know how profitable it is to hire a short-gain CEO, pump his stock, sell before the inevitable crash and follow him to his next venture? Immensely so.

Think how great the world would be if everyone did that, jumping from sunken venture to sunken venture, burning through any and all good will, until the only thing that still has worth is the planet you're on, but even that is nothing because Mars is the next frontier you can sink our money into.

Think before you speak so poorly of those better than yourself

Hi all,

I have an issue where I'm trying to setup my instance, and get as far as being able to register as an admin and login when using localhost, but not on my example domain.

When accessing my instance at https://lemmy.mydomain.com, for all appearances it appears to but up and running (I get a nice CSS theme)... but I simply cannot login. It gives 404 post responses.
