They address this in the FAQ:
The number markings are a recognizable part of the AeroPress design and, by including them on Steel, we're protecting our trademark. To help with fill guidance, the inside of the chamber includes a laser-etched mark at the 5 level that can be seen from above.

Recently acquired this copy of dream weapon. One of my favourite albums of all time.
I discovered genghis tron on a cover cd of a metal magazine in the uk, circa 2007(?). Their track "white walls" blew me away. Synthy grind metal. I'd never heard anything like it. I bought the album "Dead mountain mouth". Loved it. Saw them live in Bournemouth circa 2010. Then came the album "Board up the house". Brutal.
Then band evolved. Into this. "Dream Weapon". Different. Less heavy. But oh so good.
This colour, i believe, is a pressing of 100.
On boring black wax.
On luminous yellow wax.
Anyone like them? Instrumental synth rock. I guess.
I'd love to have their album Sanctury on vinyl.
