Markdown is terrible as a standard because every parser works differently and when you try to standardize it (CommonMark, etc.), you find out that there are a bajillion edge cases, leading to an extremely bloated specification.

Tabs let you define how big you want each indent to be

…except when they don't. Many common environments have a hardcoded tab size of 8, which is insanely big for using it for indentation.

The current layout seems to be designed for optimal use with two thumbs. However, I use only one thumb when typing on mobile. Would it be possible to design a layout that's optimized for one thumb?
