In the original analogy, when the race continues, everyone now starts at the same time, but the runner’s additional hour he gained from starting late in the first part still counts toward the total.

Sure, it may be more fair on average, but it would be even more fair if thay instead deducted the actual starting time from everyone.

Ironic of you to mention zero-sum theory, because that’s what CRT and DEI seem to be based on. “If we want to correct historical racism, we must bring down innocent white people in the process by discriminating against them in hiring and constantly telling them that they’re evil.”

A better analogy would be that they do an entirely new race, forgetting about the results of the previous one. Would it now be fair to give the guy a 50-minute headstart?

Censorship is one of the first steps of totalitarianism.

Why would it not know? It certainly “knows” that it’s an LLM and it presumably “knows” how LLMs work, so it could piece this together if it was capable of self-reflection.

Sure, but I definitely wouldn’t confidently answer “two”.

Sure, maybe it’s not capable of producing the correct answer, which is fine. But it should say “As an LLM, I cannot answer questions like this” instead of just making up an answer.

So by buying milk from black farmers, you will help:

  • many poor black people
  • some rich black people

Whereas by buying milk from poor farmers, you will help:

  • many poor black people
  • some poor white people

How exactly is the former better than the latter?

Am I having hallucinations from being awake at 3 in the night, or are the comments tilted? And there are buttons with nonsense words?

One-thumb layout (self.thumbkey)

The current layout seems to be designed for optimal use with two thumbs. However, I use only one thumb when typing on mobile. Would it be possible to design a layout that's optimized for one thumb?
