I have a Samsung watch 6. But I dunno... I'm feeling like I wanna worry less about charging devices recently. And this Casio F 105 W looks great and was cheap.

I think I was in 5th grade and I was in the bathroom with some schoolmates. I was using a urinal, and somehow a discussion about plumbing came up. I was telling dudes that yeah when you flush the urinal, the water that comes out from the top is actually “clean” water. So I flushed a urinal and stuck my hands at the top to let the water flow over them to get them wet and was all like “see?!” Of course I washed my hands in the sink afterwards and then we all went back to class.

Fast fwd a few minutes later and someone told the teacher I was washing my hands in the toilet in front of the whole class. I was like “noooo I was just trying to prove that it wasn’t doodoo water that comes out when you flush” But needless to say everyone thought I was some sicko toilet hand washing boy for like a week. I dunno I guess it was a pretty gross way to prove a point.

Y’all got any good ones? Lol

Do you follow a food plan?

  3. How difficult is it to stick to your plan? Any downsides?

Hearing about other people's traditions is often interesting. When my wife and I got married we decided to start a Christmas Eve tradition where we'd pick a country and plan out a dinner consisting of items from it. We're making sure we've got the necessary ingredients for this year's meal and it brought to mind how comforting and fun family traditions can be.

So what does your family do this time of year (or any time of the year) that you look forward to and helps make the holiday feel like the holiday for you?

Apparently it's a trend that most men just receive wallets rather than buying them

The temporary job I have currently is depressing but I don't have any other options, I don't have studies or preparation of any kind and I'm not a kid anymore, anti social and poor to getting out of this...

I was trying to get my driving license but I was thinking on giving up on that, the teacher is kind of an asshole and I dread the lessons, after so many I don't see progress... I'm only still going because starting from zero means hundreds of euro wasted, starting from 0 means another investment. I wish I wouldn't had started them, but I was being pressured by my family due being unemployed.

I have to go to work again tonight in an hour, night shift... I almost wanna get fired.

I apologise if my post is a downer, but this is basically the state of my life.

Like, everywhere I go (home, work, the fucking checkout line at the grocery store), I always seem to end up being the sane, rational voice / mediator.

I just want to be the crazy one for once.

Hey this is weird topic but I have to ask other people about this.

I bought my Toyota Yaris back in 2011, a really simple small car I was able to buy in cash without going in debt.

I wanted to replace this car so many years ago but everytime I searched for new cars it was the wrong time. For example when I changed my job, I didn't want to go in debt. Or when Corona the prices skyrocket for simple cars I didn't want to replace it.

Now, 13 years later I am still driving this car and today ( I am from Germany) it got through TÜV again. Good for me, I can still drive it around. I once again dont want to buy a new car now anyways (just built a house, got no money and expensive asf here).

But now I am at a point I dont ever want to replace it ever again. I want to get this car through so many TÜVs as possible and use it til it just dies.

It transported me to my first shift as a nurse, to my first night shifts, it transported me through my cancer back in 2013, it transported me to my first flight ever in Frankfurt and back, it never let me hanging. Heck, we crashed into three animals (two dears and a rabbit), someone opened the door against us at a parking lot on accident, we failed many times in parking houses cause of failing to stop and go on "ramps"...

And this thing is still running good. It needed one new battery replacement in all these years.

I feel really bad if I give it up one day. I dunno, it somehow feels like I'd lose a good friend at this point. The car itself really sucks, its slow on highways, it's very loud, but come on.. its doing what it should.

Like I am giving up my identity. I can't give us up. I am at a point it's a "us" and "we" and not a car. It is me.

Yeah it can't get to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. In fact, it takes almost 15 seconds. But I'm fine and it's fine with it too. If someone would trade my car against a newer car I am really not sure if I'd do it. I'd honestly have to think about it a while. It's stupid because a new car would remove all my worries "what if it wont work tomorrow" but I'd still need time to think about it.

Is my behaviour somehow kind of pathological? Is this something really awkward? I am not even a "car" person. I couldn't care less what I drive...

I currently ain't in the position to replace it anyways, but in 2 or 3 years I will be and I am not sure if I will replace it or just try to get through the "TÜV" again and drive another few years.

I have friends that visit once a year from Berlin and Hamburg and every year they say: "Wow you are still driving that car?!" Yes, the seatbelt in the back has the green blue red marks that my friends drew on them when I picked them up from a party where they were totally drunk. My now wife (30 years old now) who was my girlfriend back then (17 years old) puked in that car when I picked her up from a party after my nightshift LOL.

This is insane because time flys... people I am saying it, time really flys.

A few months ago, I shared how I cut my screen time from 8h 55m to just 1h 25m. It’s been 5 months, so I figured it’s time for an update!

But first, here’s the link to my original post for those who missed it: I finally cut my screen time from 8 hours and 55 minutes to 1 hour and 28 minutes (Proof at the end)

Now, let me spill the tea on how cutting my screen time has seriously changed my life:

  1. More Time for the Good Stuff: Less time scrolling = more time doing things I actually love, like swimming, reading, studying, or just hanging out with my favorite people. Oh, and the focus? Unreal. I can now get through tasks without a million distractions pulling me away.

  2. Bye-Bye, FOMO: Turning off constant notifications and ditching the mindless scrolling felt SO freeing. I’m no longer glued to what everyone else is doing, and honestly? I’m way happier just living in the moment and doing my own thing.

  3. Sleep = Leveled Up: Cutting out phone time at night was a game-changer. I wake up feeling rested (finally!) and ready to tackle the day. My bedtime routine now feels like a cozy ritual instead of a late-night doom-scroll marathon.

  4. Actually Being Present: Whether I’m on a walk, vibing to music, watching anime, or spending time with my loved ones, I’m all in. No more multitasking with my phone in one hand and half-paying attention. My focus has gone from meh to next level—I can actually sit and read or study for hours now.

  5. Me and My Phone = Healthy Boundaries: My phone? It’s a tool now, not a time-suck. I only use it intentionally, and that little shift has made my days feel so much more productive and meaningful. Bonus: My anxiety and stress have plummeted.

  6. Stronger Connections: I’ve gotten so much closer to the people around me. Conversations feel deeper, and those phone-free moments (especially before bed) remind me how special undistracted time really is.

  7. SO Much Extra Time: Cutting my screen time has freed up so many hours of my life. I feel so much lighter, knowing I don’t have to carry my phone everywhere. Morning walks with my sister? Just vibes. No distractions, just enjoying the moment.

Real Talk:
The past few months haven’t been all sunshine and rainbows. I’ve been struggling with some pretty tough depression, and during sleepless nights, my phone became a way to cope and quiet my dark thoughts. But the good news? I’ve slowly been getting back into my healthy sleep routine over the past few weeks. Progress is progress.

P.S. Last time, a lot of you commented and DMed me asking for the article link because I couldn’t share it in the post. So here it is: A Practical Guide to Overcoming Phone Addiction

If you’re tired of battling the “screen time monster,” this article has actionable tips to help you reclaim your time, no matter how addicted you are. Seriously, it changed my life.

Good luck to everyone trying to cut their screen time. You got this, my friend! 💪

Lastly, I want to thank my girlfriend for her unwavering support throughout this journey and Discipulus for writing that transformative article that made a huge impact on my life.
