About

A community on Lemmy.world to talk about the streaming service Dropout and all of its series:

... and more!

Post any content relevant to Dropout: episode discussions, fan art, questions, shiny questions, etc.

Rules

1. Be nice

Be respectful and constructive. No harassment. No grossly offensive images. No hate including racism, misogyny, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, etc.

2. No spoilers

Don't post spoilers in the main title of a post. If posting a spoiler elsewhere, use the spoiler tag and identify which series and episode the spoiler is from. In a thread specifically about a particular episode, spoilers for that episode don't need to be tagged.

3. No pirated Dropout content

Don't link to — or request a link to — any Dropout content that is shared illegally. "Transformative" works like fan animations should be okay in most cases.

4. Stay on topic

All top-level posts to the community must reasonably relate to Dropout, a Dropout series, or a Dropout series cast member in some way.

5. No shitposts

Memes are fine, but noticeably low-quality content will be removed.

Last night my girlfriend was talking in her sleep and she told me "I've been here the whole time."

Has Sam Riech body snatched my girlfriend? Does he plan to return her? Will I appear on a future episode of dropout where Sam becomes a poltergeist? Or has Dropout America Sam Reich turned into Mr. Beast?

Learn the awnser to these questions and more. Sometime. In the future. Maybe.

What a great premiere. And premise. Giving them a year to complete tasks was a hilarious idea.

All three did a great job with the prompts.

I've just got Shriek Week and Unsleeping City season 2 left. Its been a long and very fun haul.

I orginally started watching Fantasy High on youtube when I was bedridden from Covid in 2022. And shortly after that, I got the dropout subscription so I could consume Sophmore year. I even got my girlfriend sucked in, Im very excited for the premier of next season next week.

Me and my gf were rolling basically the whole episode. I really hope additional episodes keep this same quality.

Season 1 was so good, and I love that they're incorporating the growing dice from Never Stop Bloeing Up, based on the BTS commentary.

When the camera hung on Iffy my wife and I were in stitches.

Box of doom dice tray on the left is a larger replica of the box of doom. the color is lighter gray, and features a number of details like small skulls that are blocked off in color, but have a lot of bleeding of color. the dice tower on the right is smaller with more embellishments like swords, and features more tidy painting of features and color washes to help give more texture.

Sam Reich joins Brennan to talk creative north stars and why failure is more interesting than success.

The new show on dropout is Thousandaires. Where 4 cast members all get a $1000 each to spend on each other, and new host each week picks a winner.

My question is, if you were the host of this show, who would you pick as your 4 cast members?

Sometimes, all you need to do is completely make an ass of yourself and laugh it off to realise that life isn’t so bad after all.

Hey, not sure if this is frowned upon, but since I don't see that it's against the rules, here's a shameless promotion to a community dedicated to Um Actually questions.

I loved the concept of the game show and that prompted me to create similar questions. Though the community is currently just a dumping grounds for all my ideas, just want to put it out there for people with similar interests.

I remember them giving a heads-up when the next season's trailer drops (usually a couple weeks after season finale) but I haven't heard anything yet

What older, no longer being made shows do you guys like? I enjoyed Paranoia and loved Total Forgiveness, and I just finished Ultramechatron Team Go! which was also excellent.

I fell behind posting new content, sorry. Anyone is welcome to post, though, if you don't want to wait on me :)

hey yall. i'm asking here to ask something but also to push interaction on this community :D so, i've seen: Fantasy high 1&2 (loved!), unsleeping city 1&2 (amazing!), pirates of leviathan (solid, but didn't grab me too much), bloodkeep (didn't like it), Crown of Candy (very very good), misfits of magic (loved this different angle). now what should i watch next? i feel like mice&murder ain't for me, i'm not a big fan of the murder mystery. i'd like a "real" season, more than tiny heist or something short. I really want to see fey&flowers, but is there something before that that i shouldn't miss? cheers
