nerd While white is a combination of all colors of the rainbow, it isn't actually a color in the rainbow itself

There's a cool scene in LotR where Saruman, the White Wizard, reveals that he has started wearing robes that aren't white, but actually composed of tiny little rainbow threads that read as white from a distance. This symbolizes his desire to climb beyond his station and claim greater power.

Your comment made me think of it so I thought I'd share.
