Nintendo got ripped apart for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
They still sold like hotcakes though
Its sales have probably dropped off so it may not beat Sword and Shield but 25 million is nothing to sniff at.

The online critical fanbase is not the mainstream fanbase. Plus, the games are made by Game Freak, and Pokemon is owned by the Pokemon Company, so ripping "Nintendo" would be misguided.
