Remember this shit? Fucking vote.

The president also appeared to have trouble raising a glass of water to his mouth during a speech at West Point a day before he turned 74, the oldest a president has been in his first term.

President Trump faced new questions about his health on Sunday, after videos emerged of him gingerly walking down a ramp at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and having trouble bringing a glass of water to his mouth during a speech there.

Mr. Trump — who turned 74 on Sunday, the oldest a U.S. president has been in his first term — was recorded hesitantly descending the ramp one step at a time after he delivered an address to graduating cadets at the New York-based academy on Saturday. The academy’s superintendent, Lt. Gen. Darryl A. Williams, walked alongside him. Mr. Trump sped up slightly for the final three steps, as he got to the bottom.

Why are we comparing him to someone starting their first term? That's so weird at this point.

The article is four years old.

[-] SuckMyWang@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

They’re pushing the old angle very hard

Trump is old, too. Silo'd right behind Biden in the aging department. I doubt he could actually serve another four years either.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

And now Biden's age is not a factor.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Aging is weird in that Biden can be chronologically older and get physically younger.

This is because Biden takes care of himself.

I just watched my grandpa slip down that slope, and am actively watching it happen much more slowly to my grandma. Both of those men are exhibiting much of the same signs my grandfather did. The only thing humans at that age should be concerned with is spending time with loved ones and offering their consultation as an elder source. Anything more, especially in important roles like the President, is insane.

You mean a giant platter of cheeseburgers for lunch isn't healthy?

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Coupled with the only exercise he gets driving around on a golf cart and filling in a score card?

Absolutely not.

[-] _stranger_@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

He's the oldest presidential candidate in the race, seems like a good angle to push.

Yep, now all that rhetoric the GOP pushed only fits their candidate.
