My favorite manhwa is still the one I read back in 2006 or so: Priest.
It's about a priest who sells his soul to get sick-ass demon powers so he can fight the forces of hell on a more even footing. Most of the story takes place in the Wild West.
From the same era, Rebirth. Hunky vampire prince gets reincarnated and mostly spends 23 volumes prepping to kill a god, then the English publisher went bust and switched to 90% yaoi/yuri.
I'm sold.
