Personally, I'm asking it because I'm considering running an instance of my own, and I want to know what to expect. This is an issue that concerns me.

Deal, I'll upload human roadkill pics when your instance is up. Seriously though, running a public host that could potentially cache horrendous abuse imagery is a liability worth considering. The nasty anime subs on /all are concerning enough.
