returning a mutilated body is its own form of torture. always assume anything the russian mechanism does is meant to be needlessly cruel

Dunno what religion or nationality they are but in several cultures being buried incomplete means you never get where you intend to go in the afterlife.

It's why Catholics were beheaded and separated and Muslims left to rot in the field before they would allow families to collect the bodies. It's legit ancient forms of hate.
