What am I missing here, isn't the red and black anarcho communism?

E: got it, horizontal vs diagonal. In the picture, the flags being slumped allowed me to interpret the colors being diagonal at a glance. Banderites, yuck.

No

It is the flag of the OUN, Nazi collaborators

If the colors are horizontal bars then it's the ukie nazi flag

Edit: ONE of the ukie nazi flags

Trying to talk a comrade i know out of using a red on black horizontal bar in a design, and they told me its also the flag of Angola and to not worry about it. 😮‍💨

I guess I should have made the point about how many Ukranian community centres there are where we live

red on black is also the inverted colours of the Indigenous flag, which I felt extra ick about

these things are all meaningless when taken out of context but like, coconut trees and etc

It was originally a leftist thing that meant solidarity in rebellion, of course a bunch of nazis try to ruin it.

horizontal vs diagonal makes a big difference here

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Ukrainian_Insurgent_Army

a flag previously used by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and the Bandera wing of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), and now used by various Ukrainian nationalist organizations and parties, including UNA-UNSO, Right Sector, Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists and others.

In Poland, the red-and-black flag is widely associated with the Massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia, during which between 60,000 and 120,000 Poles were murdered by the UPA.
