It rreally starts to look like tanks are off the menu very regularly, have the soviet stockpiles finally dried up?
People looking at Satellite data concluded that the stockpiles dried up in late 2024. There are still some tanks in storage but they appear to be in really bad condition and so between restoring old ones and making new ones they can only make 1-3 tanks per day. Russia was forced to make hard decisions about tank use starting last year.
Most other equipment will hit those same problems latter this year, or early next year - but for now Russia is still attacking with everything they have.
Note that all the information is based on open sources. I'm sure governments have spies and other secret information/data. They mostly are not talking, but if they do they know more than me.
Which makes sense, as repairing those tanks, would take some time, then bringing them to the front and then Ukraine needs time to destroy them. So it makes sense that it slows down about now.
The slow down was in late 2024.
