1337x.to has an internal search, and so long as you're getting magnet links to .avi files (or other pure media files) there is very low risk of anything. Download through a VPN if your country cares about that. I use qbittorrent as the application for downloading.

The absolute easiest way for me in general is Stremio + a Debrid service (ala Real-Debrid). Not only is it super safe and simple, but the UI of Stremio is way more user friendly than most actual streaming platforms.

Admittedly there is a fee for a debrid service, but it pays for itself in about 45 minutes.
