Does this hold up pretty well if you've never seen any star wars? I have heard good things but usually from people who have consumed star wars content for like 20 years.

All you kinda need to know is that empire bad but that is glaringly obvious. I have commented about this before but Andor benefits from not having to carry the baggage of the star wars canon. Specifically, the stuff in the three movie trilogies is completely irrelevant and it's for the better. The movies have an incoherent metaphysical chosen one narrative that made for good spectacle 20 years ago but it goes against the themes of Andor.

Andor is my favourite TV show ever for a lot of reasons and the fact that they chose not to say jedi, sith or force anywhere in the first sesson (haven't watched the second one yet) is somewhere near the tippy top.

This is a prequel to Rogue One which happens right before Episode IV (the original 1977 star wars)

It's a good entry to the series
