Nintendo Switch 2 is here, and we're busy testing all of its backwards compatible Switch 1 games. Here, for the first time, you can see how Zelda games Link's Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom run on Switch 2.

As much as I loved these games, they are not the ones I would've thought of first for checking them on the Switch 2...

these games were notorious for frequent frame drops on switch 1

Oh, true! I forgot about that. I remember that being an issue with Link's Adventure but not as much for EoW, though.

I've played both and I'd say it's far worse in EoW. And considering even in this Switch 2 video you can still some small stuttering I imagine there's something bad in the game engine itself.

Will be interesting to see the DF comments on this.
