Pure clickbait. No date, no milestones, just a rumour that some coding may be happening.

Honestly, I don't see the civilized world lasting long enough to see fallout 5 even if they were 30% done. I'm just trying to hold on to some kind of hope.

You'll be playing GTA 6 while the world burns around you. $80 for that sweet release from these fucked up billionaires

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Yup, I can see GTA 6 making it to market. But not fallout 5 or ES6. However, there will be 8 or 9 call of duty's between now and then, if you're into that.

100%. CoD will live on, millions wait for CoD and play it exclusively till the next. Wild stuff, but the base is strong.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The base is dumb AF. Mindless drones as far as I'm concerned. Cod is less a game and more of an experiment fielded by vault tec.

It'll be 80 dollars for the base game.

then 40 dollars for multiplayer

then 30 dollars a month for multiplayer

and you cant drive a car without buying it with real money, so that'll be 20 bucks per car

and don't forget rearming in ammunation, that'll be another 120 bucks to restore all your ammo.

because lets face it. Rockstar has suckled deep at the Microtransaction teat, and made billions from it.. The chances of them doing anything but suckling even harder and more aggressively, until the cow is an emaciated mess of dried leather stretched over fragile bone, is almost 100%

Pal we ain't even seeing ES6 until 2030 at the earliest

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

Exactly. I don't see that making it to market either. The US, and by extension, Bethesda, doesn't have that long. Well be living fallout before fallout 5 shows up.

Should be a law stating that a release date has to be within 1 year of the announcement.

so fucking sick of these "WE'RE MAKING (Anticipated game)! IT'LL BE OUT IN 12 YEARS!"

Why the fuck even announce it that early? Any hype you generate will die off quickly, and by the time it releases, the trickle of bullshit will have burned most people out to not giving a shit (coughstarfieldcough).

I miss the old pre-internet days when we only found out about new games in GamePro/GameInformer/PCGamer/Etc, and the release date was typically less than 6 months away by the time we found out about them.

and now i'm thinking about how awesome gaming magazines were, and how eagerly we'd wait for them for news and tips and art.. and now I'm nostalgic and depressed cause they're all gone.
