Presentism is distilled idealism as it is an undialectical method of examining the past and strips from the historian the tools of historical materialism as it erases the analysis of human activity through dialectics and historical facts and runs into the fundamental problem all other idealistic social theories that analyze human activity being the problem of the relationship between people’s consciousness and their existence.
I’m guessing that this doesn’t bode well for stoicism
