I didn't go out. But I applied for 20 jobs tonight, and I'm having leftover carbonara and cheesy garlic bread. There's a place across the road that makes it, and they use chopped chicken schnitzel instead of bacon (they're Muslim iirc).
Hands down a fantastic place. The Hunger Den on Sydney Road.
Holy shit 20 jobs.
I assume applying to 20 jobs online, filling out applications, I've done that it's basically a full time job. You have to fill out different job applications, because employers use different software or formatting for registration. Also tweaking your resume and contact info as well
And keeping track of the different passwords for each companies careers page - all have to different because I don't trust their cyber security.
Applicant tracking software is some of the worst for that as well. The same software will use the same URL for each business but require a different password, so there's no way for a password manager to tell the separate logins apart
Yeah, online. EthicalJobs, Seek, and Indeed. Mostly contact centre, but also some animal industry jobs.
Have to have a different cover letter for each one, and use two different resumes (one for contact centres, one for animal industry).
I'm tired, boss.
Are you eligible for JobSeeker payments? I have a feeling applying for 20 jobs a month is something that is done to be eligible for that payment.
Yes I'm already on Job seeker, have been since I started study last year.
This is to hit my workforce requirements, but I also do need work anyway.
