I'm back, took my boots off, had a coffee and 30 minute rest

and now for pics ๐Ÿ˜Š

omg, what a beautiful day out there, the tide is very low and it's sunny and mild

the tide is low and all the dogs and their friends are out on the flats ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿถ

this is as far as I got, 50 metres short of my goal of getting to the small creek , after the fence it's a true mangrove swamp with no sand and nothing but mucky mud, I saw fox prints in the mud and if a fox sinks more than 5 cm into the ooze I have no hope , even the sand where I was was getting unstable

a view looking back at the city

a murex shell in situ , it's the big shell with a flange

some of today's finds

Your shell finding ability truly is amazing.

Makes me wonder wtf is wrong w/ my beach or if I need glasses.

I do visit occasionally, but rarely. It tends to make me sad for the house I had to sell.

I inherited my mum's house (the house I grew up in) but her sons from her first marriage contested the Will. I didn't have the money to either fight it or buy them out, so I had to sell the place to give them their cut and move out whilst heavily pregnant with Eldest. (I was also worried about putting myself under that kind of stress while pregnant).

Gorgeous photos, thanks for sharing! Love the idea of a fox scurrying around and sinking (yes I know they're pests but they're cute)

So pretty. It's such a nice day outside. That shell with the "flange" looks like it has wings
