I love Theme Hospital! I played the crap out of the PS version back then. I miss this type of wholesome humor in games.

Have you played the new Project Hospital (on steam)? Not "new" but current lol

It's pretty good!

[–] zeropointone@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I'm avoiding Steam but I can see it's on GOG as well. Is it humorous or serious? The humour is one aspect that makes me like Theme Hospital.

It's absolutely goofy. Honestly it plays almost identically to Theme Hospital. I played both around the same time and I can't remember what was from which game now

[–] zeropointone@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I add it to my list. Thanks for the recommendation!

in case you missed it, someone else corrected us and its Two Point Hospital I was thinking of, not Project Hospital

[–] zeropointone@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Thanks, I already saw the other comment.

Two-Point Hospital is great, available in all plataforms and it is very humourous.

Project hospital is very detailed and serious. The most I"ve seen a hospital management be. There is even a mourgue

Two Point Hospital

Project Hospital

Thanks for pointing out!

I liked it too but was never good at it as a kid though I imagine I'd kill it as an adult.

[–] zeropointone@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I knew it existed but only played it when I as already an adult. If you can, give it a shot, I highly recommend it. It's one of those games which can get hectic but in a very relaxing way, it's hard to describe.

Last time I tried to find a way to play it I went down this deep rabbit hole of pirating where it wasn't clear what I was downloading. If you have a source where I can try my hand at it again let me know.

The PS version is on the PlayStation Network but I don't know if you can play it with a modern PS, I never owned anything beyond PS1. The PC version can be found on GOG for a few bucks.

Ps version has no music though sadly

[–] zeropointone@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

True. Now that I think about it - maybe the missing music contributed to the PS version being more relaxing for me than the PC version...
