In highschool my psych teacher did the Stanford delayed gratification marshmallow test then got upset when a bunch of ppl threw them away instead of eating 40 giant marshmallows (hexbear.net)

The predictive power of the marshmallow test was challenged in a 2020 study.[8][9] Work done in 2018 and 2024 found that the marshmallow test "does not reliably predict adult functioning".

Yea the entire psych class was just us learning about famous experiments that weren't reproducible
