A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
RULES:
- Your post must be a screen capture of a microblog-type post that includes the UI of the site it came from, preferably also including the avatar and username of the original poster. Including relevant comments made to the original post is encouraged.
- Your post, included comments, or your title/comment should include some kind of commentary or remark on the subject of the screen capture. Your title must include at least one word relevant to your post.
- You are encouraged to provide a link back to the source of your screen capture in the body of your post.
- Current politics and news are allowed, but discouraged. There MUST be some kind of human commentary/reaction included (either by the original poster or you). Just news articles or headlines will be deleted.
- Doctored posts/images and AI are allowed, but discouraged. You MUST indicate this in your post (even if you didn't originally know). If an image is found to be fabricated or edited in any way and it is not properly labeled, it will be deleted.
- Absolutely no NSFL content.
- Be nice. Don't take anything personally. Take political debates to the appropriate communities. Take personal disagreements & arguments to private messages.
- No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.

Another option is to stop idolizing people that play a child's game for fame and profit.
Y'know what? I'll cheer anybody who risks a lucrative career and public vitriol to quietly, elegantly bring attention to systemic civil rights abuses.
…While intentionally shortening their lives and destroying their bodies.

There are a lot of people who destroy their bodies and shorten their lives for less than a multi-million dollar paycheck. I don't blame the players, I blame the system that leads them to this end. A poor kid who is good at football can pull their entire family out of poverty by taking a few blows to the head. It's not an individual's fault for choosing that.
The problem is that it's easier to be a brain-damaged, ex-player millionaire than a brilliant scientist millionaire. This country shits on intelligence and worships entertainment
Define easier... Being a brilliant scientist (or engineer) will get you comfortably a mid-6-figure job in and research lab. That will make you a millionaire in about a decade if you are responsible with your savings, and there's tens of thousands of those in the world, maybe hundreds.
Folks who point at football players as proof of what we value miss the mark entirely, you and I have more in common with the football player when it comes to percentage of value they generate vs receive.
Brain damage: it's what children crave!
They may crave brain damage, but what they yearn for is the mines and you know it.
Gridiron football is NOT a child’s game, unsafe for them.
Same could be said for adults. We've created incentives for people to hurt themselves purely for entertainment. It's pretty barbaric.
And they make a pittance relative to their output while the owners institute socialism for themselves, it’s a microcosm of economic woes.
Fun to watch though
The people who play it, watch it, and obsess over it, may be physically grown but they are still children.
because they enjoy athletic competition? that’s a pretty strong statement.

American Football is not for children!
Unfortunately this is a nation made largely of spectators. They don't do anything. They watch to live vicariously and make their whole identities celebrating the accomplishments of sportsballers, actors, and lately politicians 🤮.
I disagree. Morons need a healthy and safe outlet for their tribalism. When they don't get it, they instead indulge in culture war and politics as a way to go ugga bugga me vs you. Look around at how that plays out. I'd rather have drunk footballers and fistfights than the literal end of the world.
