Do you use other social media, or just Hexbear? Hexbear alone isn't addictive enough in my personal experience to interfere with my daily functions, but I also have a Lemmy.ml account I'm more active on that I take frequent breaks from.
While I've heavily participated in communities I've created, besides a Discord (which I don't really use and probably should get around to deleting) and some game accounts, this is literally my first social media presence beyond "lurker / minor participant."
I can guess it's surprising, but my antisociality and shyness has, for the longest time of my life, extended to the internet as well.
Then I think you're doing it well!
I don't really agree.
I feel like, solely due to the fact that this is a social space where I'm somewhat meshing with other people, I'm really throwing myself in hard and investing into it without being cognizant of the consequences of my actions. Despite talking about how I really want to actually do something during my time here, I've kinda just been unthinking in my usage of this platform. I don't really know what to call it, but I don't consider it healthy, or as you said, "well."
Eh, Hexbear is just a hangout zone. I think you'll be fine in the long-run and will settle around what's "healthy."
I hope so, if not for my own sake, then everyone else's.
Anyway, thank you for your faith in me, comrade!
No problem!
We're more of an antisocial network, somewhat akin to reddit
