Sure, I got into Buddhism within the same month when I got into Marxism a while back now. Breht, the main host of RevLeft is the only content creator Buddhist M-L I know of that wasn't born in to a Buddhist family.

Not many people know but Marx, although he was not a Buddhist, actually dabbled in meditation and mindfulness a little. ~~I can't seem to find it but I recall seeing a letter of his to a friend where he talks of his mind being in a zen state and how wonderful it felt or something like that.~~ I'm dumb it is literally in the article linked below.
