I wonder if there's also a racism component. If you're in an American city with a variety of immigrant cultures, your local Orthodox churches are probably going to be more monochromatic than your local Catholic church.
Ooh, I hadn't thought of that, but that would make a lot of sense
i seriously doubt that they would like the "chroma" of the average monochromatic Antiochian congregation.
hell, many western reactionaries don't even view Russian émigrés as white
