I read a few of those an people didn:t seem to have been killed, am i misunderstanding something? Maybe i was using swatting the wrong way, i kind of connected it to where violence was used as a result of a blind report.
I understood it as swatting in general if somebody made a false accusation and the police raided somebody. Doesnt need to be physical harm involved.
Police knocks on the door and ask if everything is alright? -> not (successful) swatting
Police breaks down your door and stands in your living room but then leaves after realising you are not a bloodthirsty kidnapper -> swatting
Police kills an innocent due to swatting -> swatting in USA
Fair enough, i think contextually my argument should be clear though.
One of the problems is related to no knock warrants. Depending on what neighborhood you live in, unless that person says they are the police and look like the police, they are considered a home invader and are going to get themselves killed. Considering that American police have better equipment that poor country's military's and they will shoot anything they consider a threat. Innocent people are going to be murdered by police.
