If someone else is interested, I looked around and found this series about arabic calligraphy very interesting, going into all the technicalities: https://youtu.be/kDuLM_4T6cQ

It's episode one, and it's undubbed, with english hardsubs, so it requires some patience like calligraphy itself does.
