My mom had Samsung appliances, so I knew where this was going the moment he closed its door.

Side note unrelated to their musical tendencies: never buy Samsung appliances.

I wouldn’t buy their kitchen stuff(especially refrigerators) but I have a washer/dryer from them that are 17 years old now. Absolutely zero issues with them. Like anything, do your research on what you buy. Mine aren’t anything special, mid-range units at best.

especially refrigerators

I moved into a flat that already had a Samsung fridge in it, tall thing with a freezer at the bottom. The noise it makes (gurgling, rattling, vibrating...) is just unbelievable. I also think the temp regulation is not working quite right, I can't seem to adjust it. But I like my fridge very cold, so I guess that's OK. I complained to my landlady and she answered: "so, is it so bad that we have to throw it away?" Apparently repairing is not an option. Even if I don't have to pay for it, I don't like the idea of throwing away a perfectly usable appliance. So I installed a door and keep my kitchen closed now.

WTF is up with Samsung?
