I disagree. A successful Xbox kept Sony on leash. That’s no longer the case.

As if Sony is the only player here. We're literally in /c/pcmasterrace.

Consoles became irrelevant when they were no longer the graphical leader a few generations ago.

They are in the console space.. you’d be surprised but there people that can’t be bothered with building a computer and doing all this tech stuff. They just want to buy a machine where you put game disc and game plays.

They're very different customer bases. Although with the Steam Machine out, closer than ever. But the likely price difference will make things hard for Valve.

I think Valve will step in for that, and Sony will have a hard time competing.
