Today I found a cool old cook book at the op shop. I'll post recipes and pics from inside tomorrow.

We eat kangaroo so it might be possible to find some emu somewhere

PIedmonte's has it occasionally. Emu meat isn't all that nice - and is quite oily rather than fatty. It's OK as mince if flavoured fairly strongly. Weirdly, the jerky is quite good, and I like it better than chicken jerky. Don't bother with the drumsticks either - tougher than the average doormat.
