nail stuff

Index finger is 159 Golden-I (sh Xtreme wear). Middle and pinky fingers is 128 Lustrous Gold.

128 works better as a semi-transparent topper or a subtle enhancement to your nails, while 159 is more opaque, so two coats is enough for full coverage. I do need to get some of that nail polish thinner, the stuff to rejuvenate old polish, for the 159 as it is a few years old and the liquid stuff is slightly dry/evaporated, chunky.

Otherwise, they are perfectly gaudy like I predicted.

Edit: it's not a thinner, but it just adds back in the liquid formula that evaporated/dried

Feeling very emotionally unstable but can't cry because my makeup is fierce as fuck today.

Edit: less than a minute later and tears.

My period arrived today... that explains yesterday's meltdown. Hopefully its fixable ๐Ÿซ–โ˜•๏ธ

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 4 days ago

Oh look, we've synced up! I was cranky yesterday, but today I'm just... on a rollercoaster! Tea and chocolate for us both - and anyone else who wants or needs it!

so many hugs too

Oh dear. โ˜• ๐Ÿงป

I used to get blue from hormones

was very intense, would come out of nowhere and for no discernable reason

but damn I miss the fire of the otherwise normal hormone levels, now my levels are even but tame

HOME by Rone was beautiful, familiar and unsettling.

[โ€“] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I saw it as well. ! An astonishing piece. I got to spend quite a while in there before it was open to the public.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Oh that's so cool! May I ask if you were helping set up or something else? The amount of effort and detail is insane!

I was with one of the people that helped build it. It took about 6 weeks and all of the stuff was sourced sort of piecemeal through marketplace, op shops, garage sales and so on.

Tomorrow I have a site visit one on one with a high ranking politician. I've already had to placate him via email.

Fucking wankers. We can both play rhetorical games.

Also I noticed the strays are looking a little r o t u n d.

I don't get it, you're there to help him.

This week I am making some necklaces for Miss Seagoon for her b'day. Been designing and collecting vintage beads for a few months now. Really long beaded necklaces made with crystals and gemstones , a blue green one and a pink orange one. I think I might do matching earrings. Will take pics when I am done. ๐Ÿ™‚

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

These sound amazing, I look forward to photos!! You are such a thoughtful person.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 4 days ago

Thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚ She deserves all the things. ๐Ÿฅน

I aim to have at least ten different beads on each to give an interesting look. And she loves long necklaces and they do look beautiful on her. ๐Ÿฅฐ

TMI period talk...What is it that makes my body want to always have a period at the most inconvenient time/place possible?

On a remote camping holiday with no toilets or running water? Perfect timing for a girl to have her first ever period, right? That set the pattern for my entire life.

More recently it's been unpredictable peri-menopause periods deciding that a trip to Melbourne with limited access to my normal supplies is a perfect time to absolutely flood. The sooner this bitch of a uterus dries up for good the better.

[โ€“] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

How can we all sync when we don't ever have contact?! Currently period pooing. Resorted to a Mirena 4 months ago because I was sick of the unpredictability. Then I bled for 3 months. Finally stopped last cycle but my theory about it stopping my period is laughable. Yours in super dooper long thick surfboard pads.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I get a warning of back pain beforehand anywhere from 23 days to 150 days. Thankfully they're not heavy. When will it fucking end so I can burn my old undies.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

My app is telling me I have an average of 81 days, with a variation of 103 days. I get the old PMS symptoms that used to be a warning almost constantly, so I really have absolutely no idea. Mostly not heavy, but with a couple of 'am I bleeding out?' level thrown in just to keep me guessing.

Watching some highlights, and man some of those player card shots are hilarious.

I have been doing a wheel throwing ceramics class for the past few weeks and found it quite difficult. I will try the handbuilding one next.

I have also switched from electric guitar to acoustic.

[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I saw someone on the train watching a YouTube ad.

Ive been living in a piracy bubble lol

(for Android, free YouTube premium and YouTube music is achieved with Vanced Manager).

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago

I saw a guy flip thru tiktok, I had no idea anyone went on there anymore

and my train ride home took 2 hours instead of the usual 45 mins, ๐Ÿคจ

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Today I found a cool old cook book at the op shop. I'll post recipes and pics from inside tomorrow.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

We eat kangaroo so it might be possible to find some emu somewhere

[โ€“] TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

PIedmonte's has it occasionally. Emu meat isn't all that nice - and is quite oily rather than fatty. It's OK as mince if flavoured fairly strongly. Weirdly, the jerky is quite good, and I like it better than chicken jerky. Don't bother with the drumsticks either - tougher than the average doormat.

[โ€“] SituationCake@aussie.zone 4 points 4 days ago (3 children)

The weather is so strange the last few days. Middle of June and thereโ€™s a warm breeze at 8am?

It's weird. Still no pants on in bed and I haven't even plugged in my electric blanket.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 4 days ago

My car showed 25 degrees at 5:20pm last night and 19 degrees this morning at 8:10am. WTAF.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 4 days ago

Apparently that's the El Nino for you

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago

The kids have now watched the first Jurassic Park. They've watched a Netflix Jurassic World series and the first World movie so I wasn't concerned about them being scared of this one.

I think between Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 we have their favourite movies

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I really have no desire to work today
