Melbcat went to the vet today. She didn’t have a full enough bladder to give a sample and I wasn’t able to bring her back tomorrow to stay in. So they finally relented and gave her a slow release antibiotic shot. Here’s hoping she starts feeling better quickly.

I fell asleep afterwards -_- I wish I could start feeling better quickly. Maybe I should ask for antibiotics and arthritis shots too while I’m there /j

Look I don't want to disparage your vet, but: many many years ago I had a cat with a broken jaw. He declined to eat. The vet refused to discharge him until he would and nasal force fed. A full week later they gave up, he ate 2 minutes after getting home.

They’ve not been wanting to give her antibiotics for fear of resistance which I get, but the uti hasn’t resolved itself the way they hoped.

I’m really hoping this shot works
