Got a clean bill of health from my doctor. I knew last week that I was ok but we went through everything today.

It’s a relief :)

good news, so many hugs

Had a very interesting discussion today with some person referred to me who is trying to undercut my business pricing by more than 50%. Saying some other business gave them a significantly cheaper quote, but conveniently couldn't name who they were. Are you getting a like-for-like service? Are you getting the same expertise? It's not just about the $$ - too-good-to-be-true price means cheap, corner-cutting service and cheap outcomes. I was smelling bullshit anyway. Said no thank you to matching the ridiculously low price.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 8 points 3 months ago

Competing on price is just a race to the bottom. Let this person get the cheapest service he can find then see if he comes back to you later looking for some real support.

You have to consider your time as well and whether it's worth it for you.

It's just so insulting

tasting paddles at Rocky Ridge Brewery

Sadly my number 14 (Fucktangular) was replaced by Turning the Thaid - not sure what it is but it's delicious

https://www.rockyridgebrewing.com.au/busselton-taphouse/

My favourite is I'm the Moon (Irish stout) and Rock Candy (sour)

Edit: they have a taphouse on Barkley Rd Brunswick, so we're going there when we get home too lol

Affirmation of the day πŸ˜ŠπŸ’¨

Just as the universe made you out of stardust, you give a little bit of stardust back to the universe every time you fart.

I have rejoined the clan of the 4 eyed. Hopefully what I chose won't turn out ridiculous looking πŸ₯Έ

I got a Marc Jacobs pair of glasses, but I LOVE my horn rimmed sunnies. I specifically wanted hornrim because it reminds me of the way Gary Larson draws women

eg

I think it is fun to find a pair of glasses that represent your personality! You have to wear them all day in front of people, have fun with it!

It appears I may have put slightly too much dough in the tinBread

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You should check for rudimentary internal organs

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago

It has now been thoroughly slices, no internal organs evident.

If it's amazing it's because I'm just copying what I see in nature

and nature is so amazing and beautiful

Dog peed on the packet of toilet paper. It's not catastrophic by any means, but I'm curious as to why he did it. He did see his only dog friend before, so I'm thinking it may have been a territorial pissing.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 3 months ago

I just cleaned up after Bill. 😠

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 5 points 3 months ago

He’s a bit confused but has the idea

Perth baristas wouldn't know what a good coffee was even if it slapped them in the face. I have to ask for 4 shots to make it taste like an actual coffee.

We're so spoiled in Melbourne.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They've got hard water there too. Unless they're softening it, could affect the taste as well.

I woke up feeling good. Nice dreams again.

just need more rest for my back

I have sorted why I've been feeling weird, it is long covid giving me a buzzy feeling, and traffic noise was making me confused, but knowing makes me feel like I can do something, so rest , cut coffee in half, take iron tabs

and am getting on top of organising everything 😊I've done all the hand sewing

I had a dream that I was late to my hairdressing appointment, tried to call an Uber but the driver(s) ended up being a total creep who tried to kidnap me, so I rang the hairdresser to let them know I was going to be really late and she went into a whole fascist rant so I cancelled the appointment.

Apparently I'm a bit worried about my appointment this afternoon.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago

Good luck 🀞🀞🀞

Melbcat went to the vet today. She didn’t have a full enough bladder to give a sample and I wasn’t able to bring her back tomorrow to stay in. So they finally relented and gave her a slow release antibiotic shot. Here’s hoping she starts feeling better quickly.

I fell asleep afterwards -_- I wish I could start feeling better quickly. Maybe I should ask for antibiotics and arthritis shots too while I’m there /j

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 3 months ago

aw, you're such a good cat mum

and hugs and rest for yourself too

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Look I don't want to disparage your vet, but: many many years ago I had a cat with a broken jaw. He declined to eat. The vet refused to discharge him until he would and nasal force fed. A full week later they gave up, he ate 2 minutes after getting home.

Last couple of days have been rough and I don’t really know why other than particular dreams.

I just wake up in an almost panic.

Hopefully I’ll get the role I’ve gone for next week and it’ll fade.

[–] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 5 points 3 months ago

I have cleaned. I have gymed. Now a pleasant afternoon of listening to the rain and binging Netflix to finish my show before it leaves

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 5 points 3 months ago

Work is defeating me today. I gotta pull myself back up and kick its ass.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago

I got home from the beach just in time for the squall to pass over πŸ₯Ά

I don't think I am over jetlag enough to be WFH today. Deeply struggling and want to crawl off for a lil nap

I'm listening a recap of the book about prince andrew 🀯

the yorks are just the most appalling people in every single way

grifters and deviants

at least they have been removed from having any kind of power or influence

and I'm not up to the bit about epstein yet 😬

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

it's interesting how their depravity has been covered up

fake charities where they took the money

abuse and betrayal of everyone around them, family and employees

such a complete lack of decorum, they would embarrassing in a dive bar

they aged into physically ugly people too, even tho they are rich

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Not that it should make you feel better but it's nothing worse than anything royalty has done throughout history. Pretty standard for that family alone
