I wonder if there is someone among the residence stuff that the cat considers their person, or if the cat really thinks this is his house and he graciously lets the others to live there.

I hope so, otherwise it's a sadder story than it means to be. It can take a good year for a cat to settle in and get comfortable with new people. Then poor Larry just has them ripped away and replaced.

These two aren't mutually exclusive. My cats consider my husband and I to be their persons (one each), but I'm pretty sure they also consider it their house.

My cat considers my bedroom hers everything outside of it as the scary outside and I am a dumb idiot cat who keeps leaving and should really just sit perfectly still in her domain where she can ensure I don't hurt my self.

Its rather funny.
