The ballet has been watched and the hot pot meal devoured. May have had a bit much spicy for my tum, but we'll see! All round an excellent day and traffic was EXCELLENT. Getting and out of the city was just about the easiest run I've had!

Okay full confession: I forgot there was no speaking/singing in ballet. I remembered 20 seconds into the performance but I definitely had "ohhhh yeah" moment.

Where did you end up parking?

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

We went to Panda Hot Pot and there's an RMIT/public parking garage right behind it, so just parked there. Super easy!!

How good does a city parking win feel?

It's like 40% of the good feels from a city trip, no?

Suchhhh a win! Probably could have scored some street parking, but I had a plan and was thrilled when it worked out.

What did you see?

How was the orchestration and how was the choreography?

Was it a good show?

We saw Dracula! It was interesting! The music was a jukebox of classical pieces. The Brides, Dracula and the Wife were amazing, the Husband was great but a little wooden compared to the rest. Fantastic use of lighting and great set pieces. There was sadly less cape tossing than I was hoping for!

The crowd was amazing though, so many fantastic outfits.

At the hot pot place we saw a performance of face changing and it was so well done!

That sounds really interesting and modern. 👍

I think in the original story the husband is meant to be repressed.

That's an interesting point!! It was more that he was very focused on the dance and when he was interacting with others you could tell he was paying attention to where his hands were. However he was still great to watch!
