I lift a lot of stuff from it because they have their finger on the pulse of slop. But like I've seen a lot of casual antisemitism coming from them whenever anything jewish adjacent pops up. Ableism too, like real bad, slurs and all. Yes I know reddit and all that, but it feels like hexbear is the only place on the net not infected by shit.

Its a great podcast sometimes. They do get into some stuff others dont but also sometimes entertain cranks. I'm a fan of the podcast, knew about Brace from his MRR articles before the podcast and I saw Warkrime (his old punk band) once. We're the same age and have a lot of similarities in our youth experiences regarding being drug addict punk rockers. The 5 Part series about Synanon and the Troubled Child Industry called The Game is like...next level. Brace got taken from his home in the night at age 14 to the middle of nowhere to a camp made to correct troubled teens and its a deep investigation into how those came to be that even involves them going to the house of the guy running it at the time to confront him. It is amazing journalism and an absolutely harrowing personal story combined with a highly weird history to what led to these child concentration camps where weird experimental psychology based on abuse was and is still done to kids. It is fucking harrowing but it's something I think everyone should listen to and easily my favorite podcast thing ever. Blowback is second to The Game. Cw just in general. This is not an easy listen
