Cold, wet and windy weather has resumed. I got the mowing finished just in time.

The lawn is looking very green and vibrant now which is nice, but there are still a few empty gaps that need filling in. I seem to have managed to keep most of the weeds out, but Spring is going to be the big test of that. The font yard is not quite as good, I think they planted the wrong type of grass for that location. It really struggled with summer, as it is in full sun and has window reflections and a lot of surrounding concrete to deal with.

My lawn is fast asleep for the winter and won’t need mowing for several months yay!

Mine has been dozing a bit, I really needed to mow it weeks ago and kept putting it off. I should have a few months to ignore it again, which will be nice. It will give me a chance to do the weeding and tidying in the garden beds before spring.

I need to start thinking about planting some early seeds for tomatoes and things indoors soon too - I have a tendency to leave it a bit late, I'd like to try and get the timing right for once this year! If all goes to plan I'll probably end up with a thriving garden just in time for me to move out and the next tenant to get most of the harvest!
