Tons of people get healthcare approvals and live due to his pulling of the trolley lever

We put him in prison without a trial

His lawyers request to waive the right to a speedy trial. Its generally the best option to give lots of time to prepare a defense and execute discovery. It sucks he has to be in jail, and the legal system has a lot of issues, but this is by choice.
