got me thinking about how as we become a more developed capitalist society, we would gradually come to see the interactions between peoples as transactions, part of the larger schematic of neoliberalism (the whole concept that there is no such thing as a society rhetoric)
there is already some application of zero sum thinking w/ market economy rhetoric applied in dating, it would eventually be inevitable these things would be applied to friendships (not to denigrate those who already do these things, they are products of a system, this is just an observation/analysis)
