A new state law limits Florida communities’ aims to offset greenhouse gas emissions that are warming the global climate and intensifying disasters such as hurricanes.

Specifically, HB 1217 prohibits local governments from pursuing net-zero emissions goals. At least 10 cities and counties have implemented such policies, including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, and Leon County, where Tallahassee, the state capital, is located. But the new law will not necessarily upend these policies, said Bradley Marshall, senior attorney at Earthjustice, an advocacy group.

“It’s certainly meant to scare municipalities and local governments from trying to do things to further net-zero policies,” he said. “Now, its exact impact and what it exactly prohibits is probably up for some debate. Things that are adjacent to it—emissions reductions and even climate change reduction policies—on their face will not run afoul at all of a ban on adopting a net zero policy.”

I get more worried every day shit like this comes out that the conspiracy theory that the rich want to accelerate the end of the world faster is true.

While simultaneously crying about declining fertility rates. They can't make up their fucking minds.

It is. It might not even be part of a strategy, if you look how they compuksively jack off the torment nexus.

From what I've seen it is basically that. The elite are building bunkers to live and plan on destroying the planet somehow, that way they can everything when they emerge from their bunkers. That or they are part of some armageddon cult where they can feel the power of destroying nations or something.

If I had the details I'd link them, its just things I've seen in passing.

Oil dependence is use as a of controlling the world. Renewables changes that control. Therefore Renewables must be stopped.

In the same way slave owners fought against freeing slaves as that would mean losing a whole lot of power. Oil embargoes are much less effective against a country that has 100% renewables.

Not the world, just the bulk of humanity. We're cluttering the place up and ruining their nice views and beaches and such. As long as there are enough left to serve their needs she produce attractive children for them, the rest of us are quickly becoming unnecessary problems.
