If you're not from Germany, I would think twice about moving to Meck-Pomm, to be honest. Maybe a less xenophobic state would perform better.
I am in the Ruhrgebiet mostly. We're the opposite, the inner cities are basically Arabian only...
That bad in Meck? Never been there...
I mean...
38.....wow...that sends a clear message. But why that high? Do you drown in the worst kind of immigrants or is their marketing just more efficient there?
I'm in The Lรคnd, and I don't think the numbers in MV are that high. They're dissatisfied with life, the wages are low, the jobs rare, fertile breeding ground for racism. Just speculating, but that's what I expect.
Would make sense, yes.
It's populism and lies
Probably....
The areas with the least immigrants tend to vote more afd for some reason
Why would they even do that...if all the evil immigrants are gone, why would i need the afd? :)
i don't know, i will admit it might just be where i live, but we have a few sizeable immigrant and refugee communities in and near where I live. the only place I've seen the "worst kind of immigrant" was like fox news or other propaganda like that. most places i've lived, the immigrants were the best part of the community.
i'm not getting rid of this prejudice my dudes. i will die on this hill.
"the worst kind of immigrants" are those that don't want to integrate but segregate and form their own previous culture but with german benefits. Or those that bring questionable values with them and act upon them. But sure, immigration is no inherently bad thing. We have many lovely foreigners or ex-foreigners here. But that topic is beyond the original topic :-)
I live here so I can maybe paint a better picture. The right is mostly strong in the country-side, even in the tourism areas. The state is quite big with very few people living there and the lowest wages across Germany. Add to that the highest per capita alcohol consumption, well you get the gist.
The cities and bigger towns are political enclaves in that regard. Rostock (Linke/SPD), Wismar (not sure) and Greifswald (Grรผne (mayor)/ Linke/SPD) espescially are quite different, to a large part due to the universities.
That Nazis live here is not new, in fact the NPD used to hold a few seats in parliament. But it was for the most part a kind of enduring acceptance between the far right and the the rest (including the far left). One demonstrated and fought eachother during regular events, but for the remaining year the country was big enough. That premise jas been largely erroded by the AfD. The worst part is that nowhere else have I more explicatly seen the difference in education comparing the far-right with the rest. It is literally drunks, unemployed and low-income mostly here.
Then you have this weird fascination with Russia that you find among the AfD as well as BSW.
Essentially, if you live in the bigger towns, you will be mostly fine however you dress, look or believe. In the countryside you will be fine for most of the day if you have thicker skin and are well off.
However I am crossing all my fingers that we will keep the AfD smallish in September and that the CDU doesn't change seats.
All the best to you from the other side of Germany. I really hope you can turn the wheel.
