A search for the origins of Judeo-­Bolshevism can easily lead to a series of near-­infinite regressions, from the Rus­sian revolutions of 1905–1906, when Jews ­were also associated with po­liti­cal unrest, to the nineteenth ­century, when fears of global Jewish power seemed real to Eu­ro­pe­ans across the Continent, and back to the Middle Ages and ultimately to the time of the Gospels, when Jews ­were first marked as evil and hostile to the Christian order on earth.
