Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. 5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

Then don't wait until years later when you're called out in the media to remove it. He knew, he kept lying about it.
Whatever, be mad forever then. I hope your perfect lefty savior shows up for you. If we're lucky, maybe we'll still be able to vote when they do.
Anything is better than a Nazi, I'm not asking for perfection
Except he's very clearly not a Nazi.
If he's not a Nazi he's too stupid to be a politician anyway

I’ll take a reformed Nazi over Janet Mills or Susan Collins.
Removing a tattoo is very expensive and very painful. Anyone would put it off for as long as possible.
Then at least don't lie about it
You're right, you should vote for the Nazi candidates that are proud to be a Nazis, and are promoting Nazi policies. That will teach those good Dem candidates...to not run for office.
No, you can pick a candidate to vote for who isn't a Nazi at all, and if there is none maybe you should get somebody else to run
There is no such thing as "the better Nazi to vote for". "Lesser evil" only works when you don't have the option to replace the evil.
It's not about him being a "better" Nazi, or even a Nazi at all. It's about whether you believe this politician before he's even elected.
He's clearly not a Nazi, and nobody in his history is claiming he's had a history of Nazi behavior.
This is about his constituents believing him. If they believe his story, then vote for him. Or not.
But he's not a Nazi, he's a guy who used to be Marine, got drunk, and got a regrettable tattoo. That's not a rare thing, and it shouldn't disqualify anyone from anything.
Yes and there's the problem, they shouldn't believe him, because either he's secretly a Nazi or he's actually just too damn stupid to be a politician
You don't accidentally get Nazi tattoos because you have to search to find tattoo artists willing to do them
He got drunk when he was young, and got a tattoo, egged on by his drunken buddies, no doubt. THAT makes him too stupid to get a job DECADES later?
And "secret Nazi?" How exactly does that work? He's been lying in wait for decades, hiding his true feelings, pretending to be a Democrat, even voting for them in every election, getting involved in the local Democratic party, etc., raising money, campaigning, etc., all while hiding his secret Nazi leanings?
That way, he can wait until his middle age to run for office as DEMOCRAT, and his single Congressional vote bring them down from the inside. DIABOLICAL!
The entire problem with Democrats is they think every one of their candidates should be JESUS. They're just humans, who have been living their lives just like you. They haven't been residing in a glass box, quarantined from the world, waiting to be released when the Dems need a perfect, squeaky clean candidate to save them from themselves.
Would we even want a candidate like that? Don't we want someone who is an actual living human, a citizen who has to deal with all the same challenges in life that we have? How many of us think our entire lives should be defined by the one night you got drunk with your buddies, and got a stupid tattoo? If your kid came home with a dumb tattoo, would you declare him unemployable for the rest of their life?
We're electing people to represent people. Let them be people, and accept that they won't be perfect, just like YOU.
I swear to god most of you people attacked both Biden and Kamala despite both being more competent candidates. How the hell do you guys choose who to attack and who to defend? Are you trying to lose on purpose?
I'm not even seeing you defend a candidate like Mamdani either, who actually need the support right now
