It's often also professional software such as Photoshop or AutoCAD that keep them on Windows. Programs they use a lot all day for work.

I would say that it's often not the same computer.

Sometimes you want to do small things. Also people are frequently just use to what they are used to.

If they use one OS at work, then they're likely to use the same OS at home.

That's why all these companies invest so heavily into pushing their software at schools. Because people will stick to what they're used to.
