For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Is there a particular reason to think this is not really his mother? Or is the joke to simply assume that?
One time Elon posted about how he can't be out of touch because his grandmother was poor, and his "mom" immediately replied and agreed with him, but it sounded like she was confusing his dad's mom with her own mom, so everybody assumes Elon was posting as her and fucked it up.
Yes, i wondered the same. I don't want to assume this is correct just because it fits into my worldview.
I did a bit of digging. This post is bullshit. There are multiple photos from the event and the cake around. And the account, as far as is can tell, is run by his mother.
Plenty of real stuff we can still hate him for though: the video game cheating, transphobia, epstein stuff, transphobia, doge, list goes on
The left and the right are NOT the same. Only one of them works at least in the general direction of a future that can work, for everyone.
But the level of lies, propaganda, deception, gaslighting absolutely is. Every single time I read something implausible, like this, and dig deeper, it turns out to be complete and utter BS, like some left mirror version of Trump. ALL of it.
Again, the lies are on the same level, not the policies.
This photo shows the exact opposite: A heartfelt congratulations post from a mother, a wonderful cake. Note how they decided to lie about this, even though they could easily have talked about the family relation that is NOT intact, his daughter. But no, they don't want to talk about his daughter and how he treats her. They want to smear the mother-son relationship with lies.
And I would also point out that criminals who have not yet been convicted by a court (and never may be in this case, different problem) have the same right to a great birthday party with loving family as everybody else.
Of course they have the "right". That doesn't mean anyone has to support it.
But, yes, there are plenty of true reasons to hate and mock this asshole without making shit up.
