So my cousin arrived in Sydney yesterday.
We've been chatting, he's pretty cool. Utterly enchanted by Australia.
What I didn't expect was to feel a weird kind of stability from having someone I'm related to in the same country.
It's been 25 years since I interacted with someone I'm related to.
It's kinda nice.

yes, it's not a nice feeling to be on your own in a country
but here's the thing, that one time I needed help I remembered I live in a society that is set up to help those who are alone and in need, and it was a great comfort
