Literally the second time in my life that I've seen someone use that word, the other being a musical, where it was being said by a pretentious asshole in his "I'm a pretentious asshole, part 7" song. I like pretentious words but I find it kind of baffling that someone would just drop one so uncommon like that. I just kind of refuse to believe it's in anyone's normal productive vocabulary.
