Been trying Where Winds Meet. It's pretty but it screams gacha-- the items are cosmetic but they have a leaderboard for "beauty score".
I've been trying this too. It is decent but subtly off in a lot of ways. Feels pretty hollow in general. The UI is a complete mess. I know some of that is different norms but there's easily 20+ screens with info I want & I don't know how to get to all of them. I also have no idea what is going on with how gear and drops are categorized, which ones limit pickup, etc.
I am still enjoying it though.
It gives me BDO vibes-- pretty, covered in elaborate systems and features, but will it actually gel into a living world, or will 95% of the player base be drawn to some single narrow meta?
I can already see the healing mechanic as rather a mess from the huge chat volume devoted to seeking it.
