It sounds dumb to me to switch to an entirely different platform that's suppose to be a "better" lemmy instead of just contributing to Lemmy and making it better for everyone. I'm sure there would be a good reason to go through all this trouble and I'm pretty sure its ideological (with the lemmy devs being ML)

What's funny is, if you look at what that thing is capable of doing its full fledged shadow manipulation and "authoritarian" hyper control. Its whole goal is to literally give admins the power to shape the votes based non their own little peculiarities. You can make specific instance votes count for 0 or double their value, or even 99x their value.

Sounds like something like:

"Reddit is too much of an echo chamber, I'm leaving."

later

"I realized the problem. It's not that Reddit was an echo chamber. It's that it wasn't my personal echo chamber."

Hey now, your assuming liberals understand what athority or athoritarianism is

Oh I know they don't understand it lol. It's telling that the "authoritarian tankies" built a system with very little content control, and the "liberal free speech free market" folks made something strait out of the pages of their dear Orwell's 1984.
